Remodeling Project Location: 126 Nature's Road, Pine Grove, Pa 17963

This job consisted of building a porch roof with vinyl railing, repairing the existing composite deck, building new stairs, and landscaping the surrounding areas with river rocks and a paver walkway.  The porch also contains low voltage lighting on the posts of the railing.  On the existing house we installed a new Thermatru French door.

Description of Work and Products Used

We built a low maintenance porch roof to go along with the low maintenance composite deck.  We made some structural changes to the deck in order to properly support the new porch roof. We also added a new set of stairs and wrapped the existing pressure treated framing with a Timbertech composite rim board. The roof is constructed with trusses and finshed with vinyl siding and soffit and all exposed wood was capped in aluminum.  We used white vinyl contoured railing and square ballusters around the entire deck and down the stairs.  After completing the deck we landscaped the surrounding area with river rock and created a walkway out of pavers.

Except for the morning shade, the deck on the back of my house was in the sun all day. I could not sit on the deck without sitting in the sun. I looked into purchasing an awning, but I decided instead to contract Heinbach Construction to put a roof on my deck. It was one of the best decisions I have made. They came to my house very quickly after I called them. While I initially asked for a roof, I decided to get new railing, steps, and a new French door to replace the heavy patio door, and deck lighting on the posts of the railing. They provided me with their estimate in a few days after reviewing what I wanted done. Their estimate was fair and reasonable. In fact, when I saw the finished product, I knew that the quality of the workmanship I got for the money I paid was well worth it. In contracting with Heinbach Construction, I increased the value of my home-monetarily, aesthetically, and livability.

Heinbach Construction had to replace supporting posts for the deck and do some other work on the original deck to make it straight and level. The roof they put on the deck looks like it was built with the house. They did an excellent job matching the siding and working with the existing house. They also cleaned up daily and made sure everything was covered in case of rain. They are friendly and trustworthy. They completed the job in a relatively short period of time even considering the rainy weather we had this summer.

Brett and Drew take pride in their craftsmanship which makes the end result something I am very proud of, something for which I have received multiple compliments, and now I enjoy sitting on my deck-in any weather. I am planning to have work done in my kitchen and will most definitely call Heinbach Construction to do that work, and any other remodeling I get done.
